OpenOffice.org 2.0

If you haven't already, go grab the newly released OpenOffice.org 2.0! Tons of new features, bug fixes, and a new look.

One gripe about the installer: it doesn't ask where you want to install–it picks the location for you (Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.0).

So far, I've only upgraded on Windows. I haven't been that jazzed by OpenOffice's performance on Mac (via X11). It takes forever to boot up. I think I'll experiment with NeoOffice, OO's sister release that runs natively on OS X.

There no reason to fork over money to Bill for Office, and then have to deal with all those security holes. Stay safe, stay productive–go download OpenOffice!

Update: Use the "custom" install method instead of "complete" and you get the install location option. Also, it's best to install to a fresh folder. On one of my Windows systems, I installed 2.0 in a folder that used to contain 1.1.4 and weirdness ensued.
