Another forum app to consider: punBB
I came across the Hardened-PHP website today, a project "that adds security hardening features to PHP to protect your servers… against a number of well known problems in hastily written PHP scripts and… against potential unknown vulnerabilities within the engine itself". Just this week, they launched a new forum on the site, with discussions revolving around the project itself as well as PHP security in general. The forum has a very clean look to it, and I noticed that it's running punBB under the hood. If a security site is running this, punBB must feature some pretty rock solid code. It has therefore risen to the top of the forum apps heap (along with FUD) that I am evaluating for the solutionsphp support forum.
