WordPress 2.0.11 security release: Changed files
Mark Jaquith put out the call for a volunteer back in May to release a changed files ZIP for WordPress 2.0.11, but it doesn't look like anyone stepped up to the plate. With the MLB post-season set to begin in just a few hours, I'll take a swing at this!
WordPress 2.0.11 was released back in August, and incorporated both security and bug fixes. If you want the full ZIP with the entire WP install, download it here.
If you are upgrading from WordPress 2.0.10, you don't need the entire install, just need the changed files. This post is for you.
Changed Files List (2.0.10 » 2.0.11)
This is a list of all the files that have changed since the last release (2.0.10). I find it handy to print off and keep at hand while I complete the FTP upload. If you would like to read details about the changes in these files, check out WordPress Trac.
Changed Files ZIP (2.0.10 » 2.0.11)
This is a zip file that includes only the files that have changed since the last release (2.0.10). Unzip this, and copy the files over your local WordPress files. Delete the old files from your web server, then upload the new ones you unzipped. (Just copying over the files can have unpredictable results. Unless you like doing things twice, delete then upload.)
Disclaimer
I prepared these files for my own use, and while I have tested them, under no circumstances will I be liable to any person or business entity for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or other damages based on any use of them. This release is unofficial, without any input or sanction from WordPress developers or Automattic Inc.
Lastly, be certain to make a full file and database backup before attempting any WordPress upgrade. Be smart, not sorry!
