Telus posts Q4 drop in profit
Here's a business story I was elated to read this morning:
Labour dispute weighs down Telus Q4 profits
I battled with Telus for several years on two fronts: to complete the long-delayed high speed rollout to my community, and to fix the aging and failing telephone network here that was limiting the "performance" of plain old dialup. During that time, Telus repeatedly demonstrated an ineptitude (or unwillingness?) to respond to customer complaints and comments, and left a long trail of lies and deceit in it's attempt to put some PR spin on the issues. Phone monopolies are not good. The Telus monopoly in Western Canada is a great example of this, and so I am very pleased to hear that the shafted Telus work force have made a negative impact on the company's profits. Power to the people!
